Using 8 Top Movers means agreeing to these terms. They are short on purpose; the parts a lawyer must finish are marked rather than faked.

What this service is

8 Top Movers is a publication and a quote-request service. We rank long-distance moving companies and, at your request, introduce you to companies that can serve your move. We are not a moving company: we do not transport goods, set the prices movers charge, or become a party to any contract between you and a mover.

For counsel review — Whether this operation requires federal broker authority (49 U.S.C. §13102) and an MC number is the highest-risk open question on this site and must be answered by counsel before this section is final. Do not add or remove the word “broker” without that answer.

Rankings are editorial opinion

8 Top Movers is an advertising and marketing company and a mover comparison service, not a moving company. We may be compensated by movers in our network. The featured movers on our home page are our top picks and affiliated movers in our network. Top Movers, on its own page, is our separate editorial opinion on pricing transparency, claims handling, delivery reliability, and customer experience. It is not a measured rating, and it is not for sale. One listed mover, Global Elegance Moving and Logistics, shares ownership with 8 Top Movers. When you ask for estimates, your name, phone, and email go only to our moving team, which we run with Global Elegance; the other movers listed never receive them. You never pay us, using our service does not raise your price, and asking for estimates is never a booking.

Estimates are not quotes

This site shows no price or cost range. Any estimate comes in writing from a mover, and this notice applies to it:

This is a free, non-binding estimate range based on the details you provided. It is not a binding or not-to-exceed quote. Your final price is confirmed by a moving consultant after a full inventory review.

Quote requests

When you submit a quote request you agree that:

you are 18 or older and the details you submit are your own and accurate
a request is not a booking and creates no obligation on you or on any mover
we share your move details with the licensed movers in our network so they can price your move, and we bring their written estimates to you; you choose which mover to use, or none
we use your name, phone, and email under the consent shown on the form; who receives them is set out in the disclosure above and in the Privacy Policy
you never pay us, and using 8 Top Movers does not raise your price

For counsel review — Changed September 2026. This list used to say your name, phone, and email are never sent to any listed company. It now points to the disclosure under “Rankings are editorial opinion”, which names Global Elegance Moving and Logistics, a listed mover under common ownership, as part of the moving team that receives them. Confirm this wording.

Verify before you book

Company information is provided as-is. Before you book any mover — from this site or anywhere else — verify its operating authority and insurance yourself on the FMCSA’s public registers, and get every promise in writing.

Acceptable use

no scraping, bulk copying, or republication of the rankings or write-ups
no false, automated, or bulk quote submissions
no interference with the site’s security or rate-limiting controls

Intellectual property

The site’s content — rankings, write-ups, methodology, and design — belongs to 8 Top Movers and may not be reused commercially without permission.

For counsel review — Trademark posture for the ranked brand names must be confirmed before any ownership assertion about those marks is added here.

Disclaimers and limits

The service is provided as-is and as-available. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties and are not liable for the acts, omissions, pricing, or performance of any moving company you engage, or for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the site.

Governing law and disputes

For counsel review — Deliberately not drafted. Governing law, venue, any arbitration clause and any class waiver are counsel’s to write — a wrong dispute clause is worse than none, so this section ships as a marked placeholder rather than a guess.
